We take the VP Sales seat for six to nine months. We hold the forecast. We hire and fire. We sit in the board meeting. We accept that the role's stewardship is a transitional one and we plan our exit from day one.
By month six we have written the job description for our successor and shortlisted three to five candidates. By month nine that person is in the seat and we are gone.
